Perspective album cover

My daughter drew a room.

Green walls. A wooden floor. A desk and chair. A mirror. A window. A door.

Nothing particularly extraordinary.

Except I couldn't stop looking at it.

My daughter is always creating. Drawing. Painting. Dancing. Building. She sees things in ways I wouldn't have thought to see them.

And looking at her drawing, I started noticing things.

The door. The light coming through the window. The way the floor stretched across the room. The walls. The colors. The space itself.

Every time I looked, I found something else.

And then I started hearing music.

One drawing became ten songs.

Today, I'm releasing PERSPECTIVE, a ten-track electronic album inspired by the creative spirit of childhood.

It begins quietly, almost intimately. A door. A desk. A mirror.

Then something happens.

The window opens.

The music starts moving. The room becomes bigger. The rhythms build. The energy changes.

By the final tracks, what began as a quiet observation has become something you can dance to.

And here's the part I love most.

One afternoon, my daughter was painting while listening to the album. When she finished, she started dancing to the final two tracks.

She created something that inspired me to create something that inspired her to move.

A beautiful little circle.

I've been thinking about what this album taught me.

We spend so much of our lives thinking about what we don't have. Not enough time. Not enough money. Not enough opportunities. Not enough room.

But what if there's more than we're seeing?

More to notice.

More to imagine.

More to experience.

More to create.

My daughter's drawing never changed.

My perspective did.

And somehow, an ordinary room became an entire album.

Today is also my daughter's tenth birthday.

Which makes releasing this particular record especially meaningful.

Happy birthday, baby girl. Thank you for reminding me how much there is to discover.

PERSPECTIVE is out today.

Ten tracks. One drawing. An invitation to look again.

There is more.
